Trade Lab

Simulate trade-by-trade account paths, view equity curves and equity candles, and explore streaks, drawdowns, and month-by-month results. Runs locally; no trades are placed and no saved Studio settings are changed.

Account rules

Choose an account and evaluation stage. This uses modeled daily results and simplified loss rules; it does not claim complete prop-firm compliance.

Custom mode: zero means a rule is not applied. Targets are evaluated after a simulated trading day.

Topstep modeled Combine parameters: Combine rules · end-of-day loss limit · 55% best-day rule. FTMO: 2-Step objectives.

Trade assumptions

Results update automatically after changes.

Simulation snapshot

Probability metrics are the fraction of simulated paths; the sample path is only one possible outcome. Percentages do not guarantee future results.

Streaks & risk

Streak probabilities are measured across completed simulation paths; BE trades break win/loss streaks.

Portfolio mode

Route trading opportunities across challenges and funded accounts. Accounts stop receiving signals after reaching their chosen daily risk budget. Watch transitions, account failures and combined outcomes.

Manual estimate until an account is selected.
Charged each additional 20-trading-day month while the evaluation is active.
Optional. One refund per initially purchased challenge.
One signal → one eligible account. No mirrored orders.
Uses the Trade Lab's account selection, horizon, WR, RR, risk and loss rules.
This is a simplified routing model—not an instruction to risk an account's full daily loss allowance. Committed-risk mode deducts the full potential risk of each new trade for the day, even following winning trades. Net daily loss mode allows replenishment after profitable trades but prevents an additional trade whose full planned risk would exceed the selected daily loss budget. Signals are not duplicated to every account: one trade idea is allocated to one eligible account. Risk headroom and stage progress are approximate; choosing a priority changes which accounts receive signals but does not prove that policy is optimal. Selected firm limits, trailing excursion rules, account caps, evaluation transitions and payout requirements are not all enforced. Topstep Trading Combines are not capped here, but active Topstep XFAs are limited to five. FTMO scenarios above $400K total allocation are blocked. Other funded account structures and rules remain approximate.

Routing comparison

Tests each routing policy with the same starting accounts, trade assumptions, horizon, and random seeds. Ranked by modeled net withdrawal cash, not unpaid evaluation profit. Enter a net cash goal above to estimate its probability. Rankings are sensitive to the assumed win rate and payout conditions.

Portfolio cash-equity path

Modeled net cash = funded withdrawals after the configured trader split plus modeled refunds, minus purchase, renewal, and activation fees. Evaluation profits are not paid cash. Topstep Standard XFA payouts are modeled as at most 50% of the eligible balance and $5,000 per request. Renewals and refunds are optional simplified cash-flow assumptions. Taxes and other non-trading charges remain excluded; verify eligibility and timing before business use. Orders are pre-screened against daily and total floors using planned loss, so intratrade drawdown, spreads and slippage are not modeled.

Funded and evaluation stages tracked separately. Passing a challenge moves an account to funded at the next simulated day; funding fees are charged then.

Model notes

A win earns risk × RR minus trade cost; a loss loses risk plus cost; BE pays trade cost only. Win probability and BE probability are exclusive categories. For example, 35% wins and 5% BE means 60% losses. Fixed dollar risk is used, subject to the simplified account-loss stop. Topstep combines use an end-of-day trailing balance floor capped at the starting equity; daily-loss stops (if configured) pause until the next modeled day. FTMO daily loss is approximated from the start of each modeled day and breaches the path. Best-day consistency uses simulated daily closing P/L. A breached path stops trading. Month boundaries divide the requested number of trades evenly into 20 simulated trading days per month. Daily equity candles are based on those modeled trade days, not real historical trading data.

This simulator does not model intratrade excursions, fees tied to contract size, margin, exact exchange sessions, platform rule variants, phase-to-phase transitions, payout cycles, market-dependent win rates, or correlated strategies. FTMO daily rules are approximated from modeled daily starting equity; Topstep's optional daily-loss setting must be entered for the chosen account. Use it for exploratory statistics, not prop-firm compliance or investment advice.
